AJ Furniture Refinishing

Stain

There are two types of stain, one to raise the grain and one to allow for a uniform appearance

Analyne Dye - This is used to raise the grain. Prior to applying the stain, a dampened terry cloth and a hot iron is used to raise depressions which reduces the amount of sanding required, saving you money. AJ Furniture adds a UV filter to the dye in order to slow the rate of fade due to sunlight. Analyne Dye does not cover the wood grain, it enhances the natural appearance

Gel Stain - Used for all softwood furniture as it allows for an even application of the colourant

Oil Stain aka "Wiping Stain" - Used to match the current finish of a piece of furniture when only a partial refinish is required, ex a Table Top when the Table Legs will not be refinished
